An interview question made me reflect on how AI shapes the way we work, think, and make decisions—and why using it intentionally matters.

During a recent job interview, I was asked a simple question: "Do you use AI?" I answered yes, explaining that I mainly use it for research because it helps me work more efficiently. It was a fair question, and at the time, I didn't think much of it. But afterward, I found myself reflecting on how deeply AI has become woven into our everyday lives. It's an incredibly powerful tool that helps us learn faster, solve problems, and reduce repetitive work—but it also raises an important question: Are we using AI, or are we slowly letting AI use us?

Authenticity plays a key role. Audiences connect with brands that feel genuine, purposeful, and aligned with their values. By focusing on clarity, consistency, and emotional connection, businesses can create a presence that not only attracts attention but earns trust.

That realization didn't make me stop using AI—it made me start using it more intentionally. AI should help us think, not think for us. It can make us more productive, accelerate learning, and simplify complex tasks, but it shouldn't replace our creativity, judgment, relationships, or ability to solve problems on our own. At the end of the day, AI is just a tool. The real challenge isn't learning how to use it—it's knowing when to put it down.
